Over the last 3 years, Barnhill has raised just under £3,380.00 for multiple charities. Money was raised through a range of whole school events including our annual Winter Festival and our MacMillan Coffee Morning.
All the below amounts were raised between August 2012 and December 2014:
Cancer Research - £606.08
Money for cancer research was raised through individual student collections by selling Christmas cards to staff and students. Money was also raised through our annual Winter Festival event which holds multiple stalls and raffle events.
Children in Need - £795.97

Comic Relief - £953.72
For Red Nose Day, Barnhill goes all out with red nose’s, cake sales, and events like “Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar”! With help from the sixth form, we have raised over £300 for the last three years.
Ebola Appeal - £38.75
With all the media focus on Ebola recently, our sixth formers wanted to help so set up a stall at our annual Winter Festival where students could decorate their own Christmas cards for family and friends.
Our annual Winter Festival held a tombola and a raffle to raise money for Guide Dogs.
MacMillan Cancer Support - £383.40

Poppy Collection - £38.08
Every year we sell poppies to commemorate those who have served in the UK Armed Forces. This is the amount we raised in 2013.
To raise money for those children who have to go without for Christmas, Barnhill held "Christmas Jumper Day" where everyone must wear their cheesiest festive jumper and donate £1.00.
Unicef - £58.98
A range of activities from sixth form students have raised money for the charity they are most passionate about. Activities include running sporting events, cake and food sales and dress up days for sixth form students.
YMCA - £155.78
Our annual Winter Festival also boasts a popular food hall where you can try different types of food from all over the world! Prepared and sold by our GCSE food technology students, we raised over £150 in an hour!
Overall, we have raised £3,376.94 in total from August 2012 to December 2014! Keep a look out for future charity events!
