Additional Learning Days
Students have the opportunity to focus on one curricular theme for the entire day every two weeks. Examples include Warwick Castle Trip, Shakespeare Puppets and trips into Central London including visiting Docklands Museum & The Bank of England.
This week provides students the opportunity to be involved in different enriching activities. There are a variety of trips out of school available. Competition is strong throughout the school year with various House competitions, reaching its pinnacle at Sports Day during Activities Week.
Every Wednesday afternoon Year 7 students are given the opportunity to try something new, learn a new skill or build on a skill they already have. Current enrichment activities include Athletics, Cross Country, Barnhill Bake-Off, Basketball, Boxing, Choir, Cricket, Dance, Futsal, Football, Reading Club, Knitting & Cross-Stitch, Parkour (Free Running), Swimming and Taekwondo. This is all in addition to the different clubs that run in school every day of the week.
Independent Learning Projects
Each subject provides students the opportunity to advance their independent learning skills by giving students long term projects to be completed.
