Lone Pine is one of the largest global equity-focused hedge fund businesses in the world with offices in London, Hong Kong, and New York (it currently manages around $16.5 billion).
On Thursday 16 October, 13 eager Sixth Form students, accompanied with Mr McComb, visited their offices located in Central London.
Students started the day by having refreshments on arrival and following this they got a tour of the office. Next then they attended a workshop with Lone Pine employees who explained what their job role was and they also explained how hedge fund businesses worked. In the afternoon students attended several workshops which were ran by senior business leaders from LMA recruitment which helped develop their employability skills.
To finish the students took part in their first ever video conference call which was with a senior partner based in the company’s head offices in Greenwich, America. A big thank-you goes out to Lone Pine who provided first class workshops and hospitality for our students.
All students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to network with top employees that work for a billion dollar company and also it must be pointed out how each of the students appreciated the gift bags each of them received at the end of the day which included in it a business briefcase.
