Year 7 were treated to a trip at London Zoo to learn about climate change and how it effects the animals of the world.
The students were given a demonstration by one of the keepers on how climate change affects animals all over the world including tigers, lemurs, turtles, frogs and polar bears. The students then brainstormed on what we can do to help prevent the extinction of these species.
The students then got to do some experiments. We quickly learnt that one Barnhill student can make a noise measure at 94 decibels, which measures somewhere between a vacuum cleaner and a numatic drill! The whole class managed to make a noise of 105 decibels - the equivalent to a full football stadium!
This illustrated that if everyone works together doing the little things to prevent climate change, together we can make a big difference.
