Reverend Father Jarel Robinson-Brown

Ordained as a presbyter

Jarel left Barnhill in 2008. After completing his GCSEs, he later took A Levels in Religious Studies, English Literature, Philosophy and Citizenship. He also studied music in Paris at the London College of Music and gained his Associate Diploma during his time there. From 2010-2013 Jarel studied Divinity and trained for the priesthood at Wesley House, Cambridge and Clare College, Cambridge where he served as Ordinand on attachment to the College Chapel.

What you are doing now: I now live and work in Cardiff, South Wales where I have two Churches and I am a chaplain to Eastern High School in Llanrumney. My seven years of training, preparation and probation will come to an end this summer when I will be ordained as a presbyter at Chester Cathedral.

Advice for Students: A failed exam doesn't make you a failure. Always try your best, prepare well, but whatever happens…. JUST KEEP GOING!!
